Fungus is contained within the nail complex. Laser treatment is able to target these fungal cells directly without the risks involved when oral medication is taken or, the long period of time required, when applying topical medicaments. Any infected part of the nail may fall off after treatment – this is quite normal.

From 4/5 treatments are required taken at 2 week intervals and cost from £65 per treatment.

General Tips
Wash all socks in Napisan – it is important to remove germs.
Anything in contact with fungus should be thoroughly cleaned with Napisan.

Helpful Hints

Make sure your nails are clean and trim. Wash them well and make sure they are completely dry (blow dry is best).
Use a brown emery file daily to scuff the nail.

You will need to apply peroxide [just strength from eyelash tint] twice daily and lightly cover with Vic Vapour Rub - use cotton bud. This is to ensure no more infection can penetrate the healthy nail.
(If you have an allergy to eucalyptus apply tea tree or manuka oil instead.)

Treat all your shoes with anti-fungal spray immediately after your treatment and at least once per week thereafter.

Nails grow at the rate of 1-1.5mm per month. It may take 4 to 6 months to see new clean nail growth. Keep nails trim but not too short.

Wear only clean socks and if you sweat change socks throughout the day. Wear sandals or flip flops when weather permits to allow access to sunshine and air.

Dry feet thoroughly after bathing. Blow dryer is preferred.

Don't trim or pick at the skin around your nails. This may give germs access to your skin and nails
